Bio

If you often find yourself wondering, “why do I feel this way?” or “how come I do that?”, you are already beginning to touch on something important. Our work together will be grounded in the understanding that we are never entirely transparent to ourselves. The language we speak, the desires that move us, the fears that unsettle us all are shaped by an early history we did not choose, yet continue to inhabit. Healing, then, is not about erasing the past or becoming “whole” in some final sense, but about entering into dialogue with what has been hidden, misheard, or left unsaid.

In our sessions together, we will explore your inner and external world, noticing the repetitions and ruptures that give it shape. This work is relational, psychodynamic, and depth-oriented, informed by existential and attachment-based perspectives. As a part of my relational psychodynamic style, we may also focus on our therapeutic relationship and what is “playing out” in the room. Trusting that insight and transformation emerge from the relationship we build together. I also integrate Rumination-Focused Exposure and Response Prevention (RF-ERP) to gently interrupt cycles of rumination and avoidance, while remaining attentive to the deeper emotional and relational patterns that underlie them.

This work can be unsettling. It will ask you to linger where you might prefer to turn away, but it also opens the possibility for something unexpected to emerge; a shift in relation to your story, a loosening of what once felt inevitable. The change that follows is rarely linear, but when it arrives, it reshapes the way you move through your life.
