Bio
Hello there and welcome. I’m Bev and it’s lovely to have you here. I want you to know that I see you. You’re struggling, feeling lost or down, or finding yourself dealing with trauma, which makes you anxious, jumpy, and often triggered in your everyday life. Maybe you are feeling stressed and take care of others while putting yourself on the back burner, or have lost touch with the wise nurturing part of yourself. But things can get better.
Healing and wholeness are possible, and I would be honored to help you feel safe, seen, and supported while on this journey. Together we can work towards a better understanding of yourself, improved insight, and healthy and helpful changes in your life. We can work through your trauma to provide you with some peace and assurance. I provide a warm, non-judgmental presence infused with compassion, curiosity, and openness, and feel privileged to do this work.
I am a relational therapist trained in EMDR, IFS, CBT, DBT, and ACT, and my expertise is in trauma, mood disorders, anxiety, and stress management. I have worked as a clinical social worker for the past 10 years, but have been in the mental health field for over 25 years.
Fun Fact: I am an animal lover and my family includes our two dogs, Thor and Bella, our cat, Poppy, a bearded dragon named Diego, two Russian tortoises named Sasha and Jango, and our 100+ lb. sulcata tortoise, Milkshake.
