Bio

You might be struggling to understand your emotional experiences, feel stuck in relationships, or be experiencing an overwhelming desire for change, and have no idea how to start. You might feel alone in these experiences, and have a strong sense that nothing can be different. Therapy can be an environment in which you no longer feel alone and a safe place to explore the deepest experiences of suffering and shame.

I am guided by the belief that people are the experts of their experience and are highly capable of making changes that align with their values. Together, we can explore ways to increase your ability to navigate your psychological wellbeing, relationships, and find ways to develop resilience in the face of adversity. My ultimate goal is to create a trusting space and support you in feeling understood, cared for, and listened to. Feeling more grounded and connected to yourself, others, and the world around you can offer an opportunity for real change.

During my time as a therapist, I have worked with a wide range of individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, complex trauma, grief and loss, identity and relationship issues, and difficulties with emotional regulation. I utilize an anti-oppressive and culturally sensitive foundation to support individuals with various identities, and have found that a strong therapeutic relationship utilizing research-based practices can result in authentic and lasting support.

I have received training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Narrative therapy approaches. I utilize mindfulness-based practices and strive to create a trusting relationship grounded in nonjudgment and unconditional positive regard for you as the client. I look forward to being alongside you in your journey towards growth and healing.
